SISTER is an ode to sisterhood. An ode to the deep connection with our soul mates and the soul mate in ourselves. To the powerful and adventurous part that we carry within ourselves and that we recognize in others. That part that makes all dreams come true and can enjoy life frantically.

SISTER is the second album of my 'Mothership' triptych. The solo album SONNA was previously released, which was awarded an Edison Vocal National.

At SONNA I wanted to fully express myself in the silence of a church in Brabant with my voice in who I am as a person and musician. Where SONNA is about experiencing and expressing what resides in the depths of myself, SISTER goes a step further. These feelings are given words and so that what is going on inside me can be understood by everyone. SISTER is about reaching out to the other to be embraced in safety and supported in the desire to shine.

In collaboration with the Norwegian guitarist Oddrun Lilja Jonsdottir (Bugge Wesseltoft's New Conception of Jazz, Moksha, Frode Haltli's Avant Folk) my singer-songwriter pieces are sounded on SISTER. A repertoire of melancholy poetry and soothing melodies that has been lovingly preserved for years among all the great wishes, dreams and ideas and that are now ready to see the light.

.. being heard, felt, carried and loved by others is the strongest medicine..
